Boys Scouts and Troop 007

The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship, and develops personal fitness.

For over a century, the BSA has helped build the future leaders of this country by combining educational activities and lifelong values with fun. The Boy Scouts of America believes — and, through nearly a century of experience, knows — that helping youth is a key to building a more conscientious, responsible, and productive society.

Our Troop is a relatively young troop that was founded in 2006 and sponsored by  St Andrews Episcopal Church , Glenwood, MD (Click here for information and directions.) The Troop  has been growing steadily ever since because we have such amazing fun. Surf our site and see what we are doing and what we plan to do to have all this so-called "Fun."

What's best  about our Troop?

Good question... Perhaps its the hikingcamping, Backpackingrappelling, canoeing, white water rafting , spelunking (caving,)  bouldering, swimming, snorkeling, snow skiing, snow tubing, fishing, archery, target shooting, summer camps , high adventure expeditions     community service or conservation projects we do...

Or maybe its the fact that this is a Scout run troop that stresses Scout development as well as all the fun we have...
(We do have Adult Leadership for supervision and they do have veto powers for anything that may not be illogical or not covered by our insurance.)
